NCTA Junior Development Fund (JDF) subsidy

Congratulations to all Ottawa competitors who have received support from for the NCTA Junior Development Fund (JDF) subsidy by qualifying for Fischer Junior Outdoor Nationals 2021.

Here are this year’s recipients of JDF subsidy:

U12 Bronwyn Duggan, Sienna Manashe, Adrian Palframan, Victor Cvetanov Dimitrov

U14 Alex Zhang, Ariel Liu

U18 Ray Xie, Scarlett Wang

Financial support to offset training, traveling and other costs is welcome but is indeed a fraction of the sacrifice that families of the competitive junior have to budget to help the players to pursue their dreams. The current mandate of JDF is a recognition of the achievement, level of commitment, dedication by the players, their families and coaches which helped to propel the players to the national level competition.

JDF was made possible by an endowment of a fund from Roman Cup Pro Am Fundraiser which was held annually at the Rideau Tennis a club over past ten years and which will continue on 2022 in partnership with RSC as our main fundraising activity.

Wishing all the competitors good luck jn the upcoming provincials and hope you can continue on the road to excellence, achievement and bettering yourselves as people, athletes and competitors representing your clubs, academies and schools! Great job! Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved with fundraising for junior development, would like to donate, volunteer, share ideas on how we can grow the fund and make it sustainable down the road and make more impact for our athletes locally!
